lisaclara :
I’ve thought of co-branding my spouse and myself as a Team, standing on a street corner with a sign – mom with 3 kids needs job, sending photos of the kids with resume to kid focused companies using their products, just hitting as many companies as possible with my resume – carrying job search business cards and handing those out wherever I go to anybody who would be willing to assist me in networking…..your ideas??? I know I’m getting a bit off the wall here – but I’m just brainstorming and need to pick the best ideas…..I need a job fast – quite desperate in fact.

Depending on the kind of work you do, the Internet offers lots of career advice and lots of jobwebsites as well. One such site is (once on click on “Careers” under Employment (I think). Also, if you are a waitress as an example, you can go to any search engine like or or and type in “waitress employment” and you’ll get some good sites. Also, try the biggies as far as jobbanks like and.
P.S. Even though you may BE desperate, do everything you can NOT to appear desperate during the interview
I hope this helps…
